These are complete CFA studbooks, with all longhaired and all
shorthaired cats registered each year. So if there were "Maine Cats" or
"Angoras" registered in Studbook 27, they will be there amongst all the other
longhairs (long-hairs were not broken out by breed until much later). And
Burmese, DSH, Manx, and Blue-/Seal-Point Siamese all have their own sections
under Shorthairs.
These documents are formatted as closely as possible to the original Stud Books. Each book includes everything in the original: Cover pages, Officers and Clubs, Rules for Registration, Table of Contents, Photographs, CFA Shows, Grand Championships and Championships awarded, and Index, as well as all the Stud Book entries, Foundation Record entries, Transfers To Studbook, Transfers Of Ownership, Cattery Name Additions, and Corrections /Omissions for both longhaired cats (no breed differentiation) and shorthaired cats (Burmese, DSH, Manx, and Blue-/Seal-Point Siamese, etc., depending upon the Stud Book).
Note that considerable effort was made to correct scanner errors. However, these documents have not been independently proofed or edited, so there may be errors. If anyone finds errors when compared to the original Stud Books, please email Paul Russell. Corrections will be posted to the appropriate linechasers list(s), and will be reflected in the studbook(s) when new versions are posted.
Anything appearing in italics is a comment or correction by Paul Russell, and does not appear in the original studbook.
These studbooks are in MS Word 97 format, so if you do not have
Word 97 you will need to download the
Word97 Viewer
from Microsoft. At the bottom of the list, select either
